DAVID N. CAMAIONE DOCTORAL SCHOLARSHIP
Award Amount- $750 US
Deadline- June 1 of each year
Eligibility Requirements-
1) The student must be a current NEACSM member.
2) The individual must be enrolled in an accredited college/university within the New England Chapter.
3) The student must be a Doctoral level student majoring in the areas of clinical or basic exercise science or sports medicine.
4) Demonstrated academic excellence of 3.3/4.0 scale in graduate studies.
5) The application should include the following:
- Official transcripts
- Two letters of recommendation
- Official NEACSM Cover Sheet
- Cover letter highlighting academic and professional accomplishments
- Curriculum Vitae
Determination of the Doctoral Scholarship Award is based on the following:
- Academic excellence
- Professional/Work experience and its relationship to professional development for a career in exercise science, sports medicine, or a related field.
- Professional activities including professional memberships, workshop/conference attendance, and professional service.
- Special emphasis is placed on Free Communication Presentations at professional meeting, and publication of peer-reviewed abstracts and manuscripts.
- Further consideration is given to students demonstrating skills in Grantsmanship.
