The New England Regional Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine is proud to announce that applications for the 2014 Student Scholarships are now being accepted. All students in the New England region are eligible for these scholarships. The scholarships are designed to highlight professional and academic excellence in undergraduate (Undergraduate Scholarship), masters (Mark Connolly Memorial Masters Scholarship) and doctoral (David N. Camaione Doctoral Scholarship) students in our region. Students can also apply for the Lawrence E. Armstrong Minority Scholarship, the Donna Murphy Service Scholarship, or the Undergraduate Research Experience Grants. University faculty are asked to encourage qualifying students to apply for these scholarships.
View the criteria for all of the scholarships. Scholarship winners will receive an award of $500-$1000 and will be recognized at the 2014 New England Regional Chapter Meeting (November 13-14, 2014 at the Providence Convention Center, Providence, RI).
Although each scholarship has specific requirements, all scholarships require the applicant to:
Be a current NEACSM member
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university within the New England Chapter
Be majoring in the areas of clinical or basic exercise science or sports medicine
