This year's meeting provided attendees with evidence-based information on the effects of exercise and physical activity on people throughout the lifespan, including those with chronic diseases and disabilities. Our program offered attendees practical information that can be applied to the individual needs of the different clients that they work with daily. Keynote and featured speakers included: Dr. Catrine Tudor Locke, Dr. Martin Gibala, Peter Ronai, Dr. Jaci VanHeest, Dr. Barry Braun, Dr. James Rimmer, Dr. Sam Headley, Dr. Katie Schmitz, Dr. Thomas Trojian, Dr. Carol Ewing Garber, and Francis Neric. Other exciting additions to this year's conference included: the first-ever featured debate between the Greater New York and New England Chapters of the ACSM, on the topic of Ketogenic diets for human performance; and the 16th annual College Bowl, featuring teams of talented students from across the region.
