Thursday, November 5, 2026 at the Fall Conference, "Exercise Science in the Era of Longevity: Interdisciplinary Strategies to Optimize Healthspan"

Completed registration form, Team Slide, and $100 fee submitted by October 30, 2026.

WHO: Teams of three (3) undergraduate students enrolled in exercise science, kinesiology, or related programs will represent their eligible colleges and universities. Participation is limited to eligible undergraduate institutions located within the geographic boundaries of the NEACSM Chapter: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Institutions and student competitors must satisfy all eligibility requirements outlined in the Official NEACSM College Bowl Rules.

WHAT: The Peter Ronai College Bowl is a Jeopardy-style sports medicine and exercise science quiz competition played over two rounds using separate game boards. Teams have 10 seconds to answer each question. Correct answers earn points, while incorrect answers result in point deductions. The competition concludes with an optional Final Jeopardy round, during which teams may wager a portion of their points.

 

The team with the highest score is crowned the NEACSM College Bowl Champion and earns the opportunity to represent the New England Chapter at the ACSM National Student Bowl held during the ACSM Annual Meeting, subject to applicable National Student Bowl eligibility requirements. ACSM provides registration for the three eligible winning student competitors, while NEACSM covers hotel and travel expenses. 

 

WHEN: President’s Reception, Thursday, November 5, 2026 at 5:15 p.m.

WHY: Registration fees help support student-oriented initiatives, educational programming, and activities throughout the New England Chapter.

TO REGISTER: 

• Confirm your team's eligibility, as outlined in the Official NEACSM College Bowl Rules. 

​

• Complete the Registration Form. Include the names of the three undergraduate student competitors and the designated faculty representative and send via email to neacsm1@gmail.com on or before October 30, 2026.

​

• Pay the registration fee of $100 per team via PayPal.

​

• Submit a Team Slide. This PowerPoint slide should contain a group photograph of the three competitors, each student's name, the institution's name, and the school logo. Slides should be emailed to Tim Hanway at timhanway6@gmail.com no later than October 30, 2026. ​
